In a special one-hour report on Peterson and his life behind bars, Fox's Geraldo Rivera spoke with Nancy Mullane, the award-winning author of "Life After Murder: Five Men In Search of Redemption." She is one of the few outsiders to have a glimpse of the 42 year old convicted murderer.

Mullane describes seeing a buff-looking young man playing basketball -- who looked more like a college athlete playing on his neighborhood court than a prisoner on death row.

He was caught after the remains of a fetus washed ashore from San Francisco Bay in Richmond's Point Isabel Regional Shoreline, north of the Berkeley Marina, where Peterson had been boating the day of Laci's disappearance.

He also claimed people got the wrong impression of him due to his relationship with his former fiancée, which was sparked when they starred in disastrous 2003 romantic comedy Gigli, which went on to make just $7m from a $76m budget.
